Shore Crest Residence is a distinctive and modern two-story home located in the City of Miami, within a T3-R zoning area. The client sought to maximize the potential of the lot by creating a spacious residence featuring a minimum of 4 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, along with a striking double-height space. Cuevas Architecture not only met these requirements but exceeded the client's expectations by incorporating an additional bedroom into the design.
Key elements of the project include:
Maximized Living Space: The design includes 5 bedrooms and 4.5 bathrooms, as initially requested by the client. Additionally, we were able to integrate an extra bedroom into the layout, providing even more living space and flexibility for the residents.
Double-Height Space: A central feature of the residence is the double-height space, which adds a sense of grandeur and openness to the home. This architectural element creates a visually impressive interior and enhances the overall ambiance of the living areas.
Innovative Parking Solution: To accommodate the city’s encouragement of tandem parking, we designed a carved side portion of the residence specifically for this purpose. This innovative solution maximizes the use of the lot while maintaining a clean and functional design.
Seamless Indoor-Outdoor Integration: The design incorporates full-height glass elements strategically placed to allow natural light to flood the interior spaces and provide unobstructed views of the outdoor areas. This approach creates a seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living spaces, taking full advantage of Miami's favorable climate.
Modern Aesthetic: The Shore Crest Residence features a sleek and modern design, characterized by clean lines, contemporary materials, and thoughtful details. The overall aesthetic reflects a sophisticated and forward-thinking approach to residential architecture.
Design and Permitting: Cuevas Architecture was responsible for the complete design and preparation of permit drawings for the project. Our expertise ensured that the design not only met the client's needs but also complied with all relevant zoning and building regulations, facilitating a smooth permitting process.
